ENTRY FEE IS NOT REFUNDABLE.
Your entry is accepted on the condition that the payment is for a PLACE in the event, not a RIDE. If your entry is successful and you later cancel, then all of your fees will go to the event beneficiary THE RAYNER FOUNDATION a registered charity . However if you can’t ride the event and let us know at least 60 days before the event date you will receive no refund but upon request by email to etapedudales@live.co.uk with TRANSFER in the subject and payment of £10 (to be made at least 42 days before the date of the Event) you will be allowed to transfer your entry to a third party.

There will be no other deferrals under any circumstances
SUITABLE CYCLES
Because this is a serious Cycle Ride and Challenge, none of the following cycles will be allowed in the event: Small wheel bikes, Choppers, Fat bikes, Fold up bikes.
No Tri Bars allowed
VEHICLES
No Cars or Motor Bikes are allowed to follow (or lead!) the riders. You can arrange to meet with helpers at certain places, but wherever possible, we ask that they avoid using the event route to get there. The Dales roads used for the event are in the main narrow and twisty so additional vehicles cause an unwelcome hazard and congestion.
NO HELMET, NO RIDE!
You must wear your helmet throughout the Event. Failure to comply with this will result in immediate disqualification.
WIND/WATERPROOF
The event travels through very remote and exposed countryside. You may start the ride bathed in sunshine but the weather can change dramatically in a very short time . YOU MUST carry a long-sleeved wind/waterproof.
NO LITTER = ZERO TOLERANCE
This is a major problem for the future of our event. Please give your litter to the marshals, and they will dispose of it. No Excuses.
DISQUALIFICATION
We will apply this to any riders not adhering to these rules. Mobile Marshals will record your rider number.
EVENTS BEYOND OUR CONTROL
WE reserve the right to cancel the event at any time, prior or during the event if circumstances demand.
ABSOLUTELY NO FANCY DRESS
CUT-OFF TIMES
WE may introduce cut off times as we see fit, being limits on the time taken to complete sections of the Event to ensure the safe and proper running of the Event. Consequently, you may be instructed to withdraw from the ride in accordance with imposed cut off times.
